General

10 questions answered

What is Cashpert?

Cashpert is an automated claim discovery and filing service that finds unclaimed money Americans are owed and files the claims for them. Cashpert scans 72+ official databases nightly for class action settlements, government rebates, manufacturer rebates, and unclaimed property programs, then matches them to your profile and submits the paperwork on your behalf. Cashpert is operated by WETYR Corporation in Florida and serves all 50 US states.

How does Cashpert work?

Cashpert works in three steps. First, you build a profile in about two minutes - your zip code, utility provider, vehicles, and recent purchases. Second, our system scans 72+ databases every night and matches qualifying claims to your profile. Third, our automated bots fill out and submit the claim paperwork for you. You keep 78% of every recovery, and Cashpert charges nothing upfront. We only earn money when you do.

Is Cashpert legitimate?

Yes. Cashpert is a real automated service operated by WETYR Corporation, a Florida-registered company. Every dollar Cashpert finds comes from verifiable, official sources: court-approved class action settlements, federal and state government programs, manufacturer rebate offers, and state unclaimed property databases. Cashpert charges no upfront fees - you only pay if we actually recover money for you. We are not a law firm and never claim to be.

Is Cashpert a scam?

No. Cashpert is the opposite of a scam. We charge no upfront fee, no credit card to start, and only earn money when we recover real funds for you. Every claim we file is for verifiable, publicly-documented programs - the same programs you could find yourself if you had the time. The 22% success fee model is industry-standard and aligns our incentives with yours: if you don't get paid, neither do we. Real settlements, real rebates, real money.

Who runs Cashpert?

Cashpert is built and operated by WETYR Corporation, a Florida-based technology company. The platform is engineered using Claude AI for claim parsing, Playwright for automated form filing, and Supabase for secure data storage. The system is continuously monitored by self-healing infrastructure to ensure claims are filed reliably and on time, even when individual data sources go offline.

How much money is Americans owed in unclaimed funds?

Over $70 billion in unclaimed property is currently held by US state treasurers alone. The average American is owed approximately $2,000 in state-held unclaimed funds, with about 1 in 7 Americans having unclaimed property in their name. Beyond state programs, there is $1.65 trillion in forgotten 401(k) accounts, billions in active class action settlements, and up to $14,000 per household available in federal Inflation Reduction Act rebates.

Why don't people know about money they're owed?

Most unclaimed money goes unnoticed because the burden of discovery falls on the person owed. Settlements are announced in legal notices few people read. Rebates require knowing about them. Unclaimed property exists in 50 separate state databases. There's no central notification system. People also miss money because they've moved, changed names, or never received the notification mailing. Cashpert solves this by checking everything for you, automatically, every night.

How is Cashpert different from MissingMoney.com?

MissingMoney.com only searches state-held unclaimed property - which is just one of four categories of money Americans are owed. Cashpert covers all four: class action settlements (15+ aggregator sources), government rebates (10+ federal/state programs), manufacturer rebates (12+ brands), and unclaimed property (all 50 state databases). More importantly, Cashpert files the claims for you. MissingMoney just shows you what's there - Cashpert handles the entire recovery process automatically.

What's the difference between Cashpert and a law firm?

Cashpert is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. We file standard administrative claim forms - the exact same forms you would fill out yourself if you had time. We don't represent you in court, dispute legal matters, or interpret contracts. For legal representation in disputes, contested claims, or complex litigation, you should consult a licensed attorney. Cashpert handles the paperwork; lawyers handle legal advice.

Can Cashpert really find money for me?

Statistically, very likely yes. With $70+ billion in state-held unclaimed property alone and 1 in 7 Americans owed money, the question isn't whether you have unclaimed funds - it's how much. The more profile information you provide, the more matches we can find. Customers regularly discover utility deposits from old addresses, class action eligibility from corporate lawsuits, energy rebates they didn't know existed, and manufacturer rebates on appliances they own.

Class Action Settlements

8 questions answered

What is a class action settlement?

A class action settlement is the resolution of a lawsuit filed on behalf of a group of people who were all harmed in the same way - typically by a corporation. When companies are sued for false advertising, overcharging, data breaches, or defective products, courts often approve settlements that pay class members. You may be entitled to money from settlements you never knew about because the legal notice didn't reach you, or because you simply forgot to file.

How do I know if I qualify for a class action?

Qualification depends on the specific settlement. Common factors include: did you buy the affected product, were you a customer of the company during a specific period, did you have a data breach notice, did you live in the affected state. Cashpert automatically checks every active settlement against your profile - your purchases, accounts, location, and dates - to identify which ones you qualify for, with no manual research needed on your part.

Do I need proof of purchase?

Many class action settlements pay claims with no proof of purchase required. Recent examples include Dollar General overcharging ($3+ no proof), Joint Juice false advertising ($10-25 per unit no proof), and Sealy thread count ($40 per household no proof). Settlements that require proof typically pay higher amounts but have more documentation requirements. Cashpert files no-proof claims automatically and notifies you when proof is needed for higher-value claims.

How long until I get paid from a class action?

Class action settlements typically pay 30 to 120 days after the claim filing deadline closes. The exact timeline depends on court approval schedules, claim review processes, and payment distribution methods. Some settlements pay within a few weeks; others take six months or more. Cashpert tracks every filed claim and notifies you when payment is approved or distributed, so you don't have to monitor anything manually.

What's an example of a class action I could file?

Active settlements right now include Amazon Prime FTC ($2.5B with up to $51 per person), Capital One 360 Savings ($425M, automatic payments), Beef price-fixing/Tyson-Cargill ($87.5M for 2014-2019 beef purchases), Joint Juice multi-state ($70.84M no proof needed), Equifax Data Breach Extended Claims, and SiriusXM Telemarketing TCPA ($28M up to $1,500). Your eligibility depends on your purchase history and location - Cashpert checks all of these and 100+ more for you automatically.

Can I file class action claims myself?

Yes, you can file class action claims yourself by visiting each settlement's official website and filling out the form. The challenge is finding them all - settlements are announced across dozens of sources, with different deadlines, eligibility criteria, and forms. Most people simply don't have time to track them all down. Cashpert automates the discovery and filing for you, so you don't miss out on settlements you would have qualified for if you'd known they existed.

What happens if I miss the deadline?

If you miss a class action filing deadline, that money is gone forever - the settlement closes and unclaimed funds typically revert to the defendant or get distributed to other class members. Cashpert prevents missed deadlines by tracking every active settlement and prioritizing claims with deadlines under 30 days. This is one of the highest-value parts of the service: the average American misses dozens of legitimate settlements each year simply because they don't know about them in time.

How much money do class actions typically pay?

Class action payouts range widely, from $2-25 per person for no-proof claims (most common) to $5,000-7,500 per person for major data breach settlements where you can document specific losses. Average class action payments tend to be $25-150 per claim, but if you qualify for several, those add up. Major automatic-payment settlements like Capital One 360 or Google Android cellular ($100 per person) require no claim form at all.

Government Rebates

6 questions answered

What government rebates am I eligible for?

Eligibility depends on your state, household income, home ownership, and what improvements you've made or plan to make. Common federal programs include Inflation Reduction Act rebates (up to $14,000 for home energy upgrades), federal tax credits (30% of energy improvement costs up to $1,200/year), HEAR rebates (income-qualified, varies by state), and ENERGY STAR product rebates. Cashpert checks every federal and state program against your profile to identify what you qualify for.

How does the Inflation Reduction Act affect me?

The Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) created up to $14,000 in rebates per household for home energy improvements - heat pumps, induction stoves, electric panels, insulation, and more. Income-qualified households can get 100% of upgrade costs covered up to $14,000. Above-income households can still claim 50% of costs up to $14,000. Available now in CA, CO, GA, ME, MI, NM, NC, NY, RI, DC, WI, AZ, and expanding to all states. Cashpert tracks IRA rebate availability state by state.

What is the maximum federal energy rebate?

The maximum combined federal energy rebate per household is $14,000 through HEEHRA (heat pump and electrification rebates) plus an additional $1,200 per year in federal tax credits for individual improvements. That's potentially over $20,000 in federal money for upgrading a home over a few years. State rebates often stack on top. Cashpert calculates your full rebate stack based on your state, income, and planned upgrades.

Are state rebates the same as federal?

No - state and federal rebates are separate and often stack. Federal rebates come from the IRS or DOE programs (energy credits, IRA rebates). State rebates come from state energy offices and utility commissions and vary widely. California has more rebate programs than any state. Florida has limited state rebates but generous utility-specific programs. Texas pays large rebates through deregulated electricity providers. Cashpert tracks both federal and state programs for your specific zip code.

Do I have to install solar to get energy rebates?

No. The IRA and other federal rebates cover dozens of improvements that aren't solar: heat pumps, induction cooktops, electric panel upgrades, insulation, weatherization, electric water heaters, EV chargers, and more. Solar gets the most attention but represents a small fraction of available rebates. Most homeowners qualify for $5,000-10,000 in non-solar rebates through HEAR, HEEHRA, and tax credits combined.

How long do government rebates take?

Federal tax credits arrive when you file your tax return - usually 4-6 weeks after filing. IRA point-of-sale rebates apply instantly at checkout when buying qualifying products. HEAR and HEEHRA rebates vary by state but typically pay within 4-12 weeks of submitting documentation. Manufacturer rebates that pair with government incentives usually take 6-8 weeks. Cashpert tracks every rebate filing and notifies you when payment is processed.

Unclaimed Property

6 questions answered

What is unclaimed property?

Unclaimed property is money or assets held by a third party (bank, utility, employer, insurance company) that the rightful owner hasn't claimed for a set period - usually 1-5 years. After that period, the asset is turned over to the state's unclaimed property division, where it's held indefinitely until the owner files a claim. Common examples include old utility deposits, uncashed paychecks, dormant bank accounts, forgotten security deposits, matured bonds, and life insurance payouts.

Why does my state have my money?

Your state holds money on your behalf because a company that owed you money couldn't reach you. Maybe you moved without forwarding mail. Maybe you closed an account but had a small remaining balance. Maybe an old employer mailed a final paycheck to a previous address. After 1-5 years of no contact, companies are legally required to turn the funds over to the state. The state holds them indefinitely - it's actually safer with the state than the original company.

How long does my state hold unclaimed money?

Most US states hold unclaimed property indefinitely. Some states (like Delaware) allow funds to revert to the state general fund after 10 years of no claims, but most states keep records perpetually. There is no expiration on your right to claim it. However, you should claim it as soon as possible because state databases are huge and improvements happen continuously - newer claims process faster than old ones.

Will I lose my unclaimed property?

In most states, no - unclaimed property is held indefinitely until claimed. However, some states have begun cycling out very old claims (15+ years) into the general fund. Either way, the smart move is to claim it as soon as possible. Beyond state databases, federal unclaimed property programs (like PBGC pension benefits and matured savings bonds) also have no formal deadline but can be much harder to find without expert help. Cashpert checks all of these for you.

Does my deceased relative have unclaimed property?

Quite possibly yes. Deceased relatives' unclaimed property is one of the largest categories of state-held funds. Common examples include forgotten life insurance policies, unclaimed inheritance distributions, old bank accounts, and matured savings bonds. As a legal heir, you can claim property in a deceased relative's name with proper documentation. Cashpert can search for unclaimed property in any deceased relative's name across all 50 states.

How do I claim unclaimed property?

Each state has its own claim process - typically requiring proof of identity, proof of address (for the period when the property became unclaimed), and a claim form. Some states process claims in 30 days; others take 120+ days. Cashpert handles the discovery and initial filing, but claiming verified property usually requires you to verify your identity directly with the state once. We coordinate the process and walk you through each state's specific requirements.

Manufacturer Rebates

4 questions answered

What manufacturer rebates does Cashpert track?

Cashpert tracks active rebate programs from major manufacturers including Trane, Carrier, Lennox, Rheem, GE Appliances, LG, Samsung, Whirlpool, Bosch, and seasonally many others. We monitor HVAC rebates, appliance rebates, water heater rebates, and energy-efficient product rebates. Programs often combine with utility rebates and federal tax credits to maximize total recovery. We update the manufacturer rebate database weekly as programs change.

How do I claim a Trane rebate?

Trane offers seasonal and year-round rebates on HVAC equipment. Claim requirements vary by program and dealer - some are direct rebates, others are utility partnerships, others are tax-credit eligible. Cashpert tracks all active Trane programs and tells you exactly what you need: usually proof of purchase, AHRI certificate (for high-efficiency equipment), installer information, and the original receipt. Average Trane rebate value: $200-1,500 depending on equipment.

Are appliance rebates worth claiming?

Yes. Most appliance rebates pay $50-500 per appliance, and many homeowners qualify for several. Recent fridges, washers, dryers, dishwashers, and water heaters often have $50-200 in available manufacturer rebates plus utility-specific incentives. Stacking rebates with federal tax credits (for energy-efficient models) and IRA programs can recover $500-2,000+ on a single major appliance purchase. The paperwork is the only barrier - which Cashpert handles for you.

Why do manufacturers offer rebates?

Manufacturers offer rebates for several reasons: to clear inventory before new models, to compete with utility-funded incentive programs, to qualify products for federal tax credits (which boosts sales), and to incentivize energy-efficient model purchases. Most rebates are intentionally complex to discourage low-effort claimants - manufacturers expect 30-50% of eligible buyers to never file. Cashpert closes that gap by handling the paperwork automatically.

Pricing

7 questions answered

How much does Cashpert cost?

Cashpert has four plans. Free tier: $0/month, 22% success fee on recoveries (auto-discovery only). Growth: $97/month plus 22% success fee, includes up to 10 manual claim submissions per month. Pro: $197/month, unlimited manual claims and priority filing. Agency: $497/month, multi-client management with API access. The Free tier costs nothing until we recover money for you. No credit card required to start.

What is the 22% success fee?

The 22% success fee applies to money Cashpert recovers on your behalf. If we file a claim and you receive $1,000, our fee is $220 and you keep $780. We charge nothing upfront, nothing if no recovery is made, and nothing for filing claims that don't pay out. The fee is industry-low - typical claim recovery services charge 33-50%. Our fee is automatically deducted before funds are deposited to your account, so you never see a separate bill.

When am I charged?

For the Free tier, you're never charged unless Cashpert successfully recovers money - and even then, the fee is taken from your payout before it reaches you. For paid plans (Growth/Pro/Agency), you're charged the monthly subscription fee on signup and again on each renewal. Subscription fees are separate from success fees. You can cancel any subscription anytime - access continues until the end of your billing period.

What's the difference between Free and Growth plans?

The Free plan covers automated discovery and filing of claims Cashpert finds for you (settlements, rebates, unclaimed property). The Growth plan adds manual claim submission - meaning you can submit your own claims that Cashpert didn't auto-discover, like an unpaid invoice, an unresolved insurance dispute, or a contested refund. Growth is best for people with pending claims they want professionally tracked and pursued.

Do I need to give a credit card to start?

No. The Free tier requires zero payment information - just an email and password. You can sign up, complete onboarding, see your claim matches, and approve filings without ever entering a card. We only collect payment when you upgrade to a paid plan (Growth, Pro, or Agency) or when a claim recovery succeeds (the 22% fee is deducted at payout, not collected separately).

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Subscription plans (Growth, Pro, Agency) can be canceled anytime through your billing settings or the Stripe customer portal. You retain access until the end of your billing period - no proration, no early termination fees. Free tier accounts have nothing to cancel. We never auto-charge after cancellation, and your data is retained for 90 days in case you reactivate.

Is there an annual discount?

Annual plans receive 2 months free (16.7% discount): Growth Annual $970/year (vs $1,164 monthly equivalent), Pro Annual $1,970/year (vs $2,364 monthly), Agency Annual $4,970/year (vs $5,964 monthly). Annual plans are best for users who plan to use Cashpert long-term. You can switch between monthly and annual through the billing portal at any time.

Trust and Safety

6 questions answered

Is my data safe with Cashpert?

Yes. All data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL with Row-Level Security) with 256-bit SSL encryption in transit. Your profile data is used only for matching claims to you - never sold, never shared with advertisers, never used for any purpose outside the service. Sensitive fields (like the last 4 digits of SSN, used for unclaimed property verification) are encrypted at the database column level. The system runs on a SOC2-compliant infrastructure architecture.

Will Cashpert sell my information?

No. Cashpert never sells, rents, or shares user data with third parties for marketing purposes. Profile data is used exclusively for matching you to claims and filing those claims on your behalf with the relevant administrators (settlement administrators, state treasurers, manufacturers). We don't run ads, we don't have data partnerships, and our business model depends on user trust - selling data would destroy that.

How does Cashpert protect my SSN?

We collect only the last 4 digits of your SSN, and only when needed for unclaimed property verification (some state databases require it for matching). The last-4 digits are encrypted at the database level and used solely for filing claims. We never store your full SSN. We never request your full SSN. If a settlement requires full SSN, we walk you through filing it yourself directly with the administrator rather than collecting it ourselves.

Is Cashpert insured?

Cashpert carries standard business liability insurance through WETYR Corporation. More importantly, our service model limits exposure: we don't hold funds (recoveries flow directly to you from administrators), we don't make legal representations on your behalf, and we don't make discretionary judgment calls about your claims (you approve each filing). The architecture is designed so that operational failures can't damage your finances.

What if Cashpert files something I don't want?

You can dismiss any matched claim before it's filed - just click Dismiss on the dashboard. Once dismissed, that claim won't be filed unless you reactivate it. For high-value claims, we always require explicit approval before filing. For low-value no-proof claims, you can opt into auto-filing during onboarding. You're always in control - we never file claims you haven't reviewed and approved.

Can I review claims before filing?

Yes. The default workflow shows you every match, with details about the source, eligibility reasons, estimated payout, and filing deadline. You click Approve to file, Dismiss to skip, or leave it pending. Auto-approval is opt-in only and only available for low-risk no-proof claims under $50. High-value claims always require your explicit confirmation before any submission.

Geographic Coverage

3 questions answered

Does Cashpert work in my state?

Yes. Cashpert serves all 50 US states and the District of Columbia. State-specific unclaimed property programs are searched for every state. National class action settlements apply across all states. Federal rebates (IRA, ENERGY STAR) work nationally. State rebates are tracked individually for each state. Whether you're in California, Texas, Florida, New York, Wyoming, or Alaska, Cashpert finds money you're owed.

Can I use Cashpert outside the US?

Cashpert currently serves only US residents. The service depends on US-specific programs: federal rebates, state unclaimed property databases, US-court-approved class action settlements, and US manufacturer rebate programs. International expansion is on our roadmap, but no specific timeline is set. If you're a US resident living abroad, you can still use Cashpert as long as you have a US address for claim payouts.

Are claims state-specific?

Some are state-specific, others are national. National class action settlements (like Amazon Prime FTC) apply to anyone in the US. State settlements (like Joint Juice CA-CT-FL) only apply to residents of specific states. Unclaimed property is searched in every state where you've ever lived - so if you grew up in Michigan and moved to Florida, we check both. State rebates apply only to residents of the issuing state. Cashpert handles state-specificity automatically based on your address history.
